PHILTHYDELPHIA,PA - Our phearless Phanatic is in the shop, off line with his white Mercedes. He just contacted us, asking for a phil-in until he can get to Al Gore's Information Super Highway. That's phine with us, since we have many thoughts swirling in our chrome domes.
-Who gets the axe first, Brian Cashman or Omar Minaya?
-Of Cash and Omar, who DESERVES to be phired?
-Same questions for Willie Randolph and Joe Girardi.
If the managers get fired, we'd love Joe G as the Met skipper - he'd be a perfect fit.
-Who would you rather have at 1B in the Subway Series - Carlos Delgado or Jason Giambi?
-Will Hojo outlast Kevin Long as the respective NY hitting coaches?
-Why, after all the money spent on these two teams, are we all subject to awful, fundamentally flawed and downright annoying play?!?!

Omar gets the axe first. I firmly believe that Cashman either has some sort of really salacious dirt on the Steinbrenner's-- or there's some not Kosher relationships going on. Cashman shoulda been gone years ago. Among other bad acquisitions, the Giambi financial albatross will go down as legendary.
Willie will go first... definitely.
Matts-- you know I adore you boys.. but keep your mitts off Joe G. At least until next year. He will last a season and I'm hoping for longer.. but we'll see how long until he pisses off Hankenstein. Besides, you Mutts fans haven't had love for any of your managers since Davey in '86. Well.. you kinda loved Booby Valentine.. for a little big. |

| Tell the Phanatic to tell Arlen Specter to shut his pie hole about spygate already and get back to work. What a tool. This guy wants another Mitchell report on this stupid video taping thing? Give me an ever-lovin' break. This country has bigger problems. Someone needs to stick Specter's head in a toilet and make it stay there. As for today's question: I hope someone sweeps this weekend's subway series. Obviously, I would prefer it to be the Mets, but with a sweep, either way we would see some fireworks. The key word there being fire. |
