Hey Matts... worry not.. I think some of the Friday Fill ins (I am abandoning the 'PH's' since we're rid of the Phanatic) have been stellar. I am sure between them and the likes of Sam's a Fan.. you could fill up the Friday slate through the end of the year. It'd be a nice Friday surprise for all of us each week.. so bring it on!!!
I think the games today will be split. Giese is a wildcard. Your Pedro is too. Other than that... who knows if the Viagra will kick in for Mets and Yanks bats CONSISTENTLY. Jury is still out on that one. Hopefully the boys don't all wilt in the heat and humidity.
Good think the sun ain't blazin' today. Those Mets away black jerseys really do a lot for keepin' the guys cool.
Hey.. if the Yanks sweep.. one of the Mutts should 'Shawn Chacon' Omar. Who's the prime candidate there? |

Jersey Shore, your belief that NYC is not the center of the universe smells like low-tide! However, I do agree with you that these games matter not, outside the NY/Metro region with the possible exception of some small ripples of interest in the AL and NL Easts.
Matts - I would like to lodge an official protest in regard to the absence of the Phanatic today and would like to know what you fellas are going to do about it? |

Cookie and Sam-a-Fan, get a room already, would ya?! Seriously, I'll nominate either of you to take over the Friday slot, your responses are always more articulate, thought out, and entertaining than most of the ESPN talking head banter.
As for the subway series, are we gonna see any Matts-Matics from the Seven Train this year? And when was the last time Pedro called the Yanks his "daddy?" |

Funny stuff, people, funny stuff.
Not to burst your bubble, but I'm afraid I won't be watching the "New York, New York" series this weekend, folks, not even a little. I'm too preoccupied by the fact that the Philly squad suddenly scores with all the frequency of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters Convent.

Phanatic Phanatic Phanatic...Well?
Craig, really I'm not qualified. I look back and far too often my responses end strings with a dull thud. I'm okay in reacting to a post but I don't know that I can get the party started on a regular basis. As for Cookie, she seems to be a happily married lady, and I am a very happy recently engaged guy. |
