THE METS STAND IN A PLACE WHERE THEY HAVENT STOOD IN YEARS. YESTURDAY NEWDAY, DAILYNEWS, AND THE POST SHOWED OFF HOW THE METS ARE THE KINGS OF NY. TODAY ESPN, FOXSPORTS, CBSSPORTSLINE AND YAHOO SPORTS HAVE BEEN SHOWING THAT METS AS A HEADLINE TEAM AND #1 IN THE MOST RECENT POWER RANKINGS. AS A TRUE METS FAN I CAN HONESLTY SAY THIS IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE GREATEST FEELING I HAVE EVER FEALT SO THANK YOU METS FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE. AND ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE WERE SORRY FOR STEALING UR SUNSINE BUT WE DESERVE IT! |

| Go Mets. You do deserve it Don. If this is one of the greatest feelings that you've ever felt, for your sake, I do hope the Mets continue to play well. Since I have other things in my life, I can take another year of mediocrity from my team. |

| I agree with my boy Don Pino. I have so much glee...I actually feel giddy from all this euphora. It definitely feels good. Especially rubbing it in to all those Yankee jerks. They truly are in denial. It's our turn now and all thanks to Omar Minaya and Mr. Wilpons ability to delegate responsibily and let Miniya run the show our Dynasty is starting to take place, It will be now our decade of glory and now it. What goes up always must come down. Bye bye Yankees... |

| Attention Met fans: Stop with the giddy prognastications. It's bad luck. And don't bury the Yankees so fast. Be happy with good play, staying in first place and beating teams in our division. |

Yeah, I've got to say, let's not start talking about dynasty just yet. Remember how Frank Cashen dismantled the '86 team almost as fast as it came together? I love Omar and right now I wouldn't expect him to become an idiot overnight, but in this world where you are only as good as your last trade, anything can happen. As for rubbing it in the faces of Yankee fans, I understand the motivation, but I would love it if we could prove the superior fans just as our team is proving to be the superior team. It drives me crazy the way some Yankee fans completely lack the inability to be gracious fans. For so long they've had everything and we've had nothing, but they can't help but get in our faces about 27 world championships and all their damn no hitters and Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, DiMaggio, Yogi et al. It drives me crazy. Let's show a little clasp for the poor struggling Yanks, and save the grief for the Philly Phanatic. |
