Trachs leaving in the 2nd with a leg contusion was the best thing that happen to the Mets tonight. Hopefully, he won't take the hill again this year because that performance was a disgrace to the uniform. Ok sarcasm aside, after some questionable pitching moves last night Willie pulled the trigger on the right guy tonight, Darren Oliver. What a long relief tour de force for him. And meanwhile, the Mets should have eaten Suppan for supper. Instead, we took our anemia boosters before the game. We had to make it to the 8th inning to get our 1st leadoff hitter on base. Harumph! Now with Kukla, Fran and Ollie Perez on the mound tomorrow can we expect a Trachsel like outing or a Glavine like outing? He's capable of either. If he tanks Willie has at least saved the pen tonight. Final Score St. Loo 5 NY Mets 0 |

Honestly, I expected Trachsel to suck. Hopefully this is the last time we EVER see him in a Mets uniform. I don't care that he won 15 games for us, this guy is utter garbage. Doesn't make things any better that we have even more garbage going tomorrow in Perez. My belief in this team is really beginning to fade, and I'm almost at tears admitting that. |

| it was a good season, and we'll be back next year. . . that is unless ollie" noodles" perez pitches out of his mind and glavine shows that he can, in fact, pitch effectively on three days rest and the bats wake up. . . but thats a lotta ifs. . . |
