It seems as though every game MTM goes to, Steve T is on the hill. And quite frankly, we've had enough. Sure, he's a great guy and his record is decent but he's painful to watch, which means he must be torturous to play behind. Anybody out there want to know why Paul LoDuca didn't beat out the smash that Nefi niftily turned into a 4-3 in the books? We'll tell you: he had the life sucked out of his legs while sguatting for the 50 hours of Trachsel's indecisive, pa$$ively aggressive, batting-practice performance. Are we being harsh? No. Just look at the "battle" he had with his last batter, Greg Maddux. He 'battled' to get the .103 hitting opposing pitcher out on a 3-2 pitch in the 5th. This is unacceptable. So, what's the answer, you ask? We're glad you asked! Put Trachsel on the Trade Market, round out the rotation with The Duke, Pelfrey and Maine, pursue a trade for anybody that's simply confident enough to challenge hitters with his stuff - Trachsel isn't now, folks - and get Bannister back on the radar. We'd rather have a starter stink up the house in less then a fortnight (the time it takes Stevo to spot the opposition their 5-spot in 4+ innings) and get to the Pen while the defense, the fans and the umpires still have a pulse... Okay, let's talk about the positives now: Delgado, Floyd, LoDuca and Betran are tagging the ball (although Beltran didn't have much to show for it)... Reyes and Wright continue to have everyone, including the Dusty Bakers of the world, on the edge of their seats and Pedro feels good... PHEW!!! Let's take the next two and then go down to Atlanta and win at least two... What do you think? |

| agreed . . . trachs has won a lot of games this season because he has been the beneficiary of none to deserved run support . . . he even got it last night, but allowed even more . . . he is a bore to watch . . . what can we really get for though? maybe a minor league prospect . . . but that may be just what the team needs if it sends lastings to oaktown in the pending zito deal . . . stay tuned |
