Today, will be the day of reckoning ( may need two days of reckoning though). Will the Metsies win? Will the Brew Crew win? Will the Mets end with a better record than the Yankees? Will the Matts have to sneak into Shea --brings back memories of sneaking into Columbia Lions games as a ute. If the Mets blow it in the ninth will I hear fifty thousand "voices suddenly cry out in terror and then be silenced? ". Stay tuned..... On another note..will I be hammered before I even enter the Heftydome? I'm not driving so If I were a betting man... No fear lads...the Vikes have to get a stadium and it has to be in the Twin Cities...I'd like it to be outdoors though with no damned roof....they already have a builder lined up. Enjoy this sports day folks--it doesn't get any better than this...unless the Vikes lose of course...well that would change the whole feel of the day I guess |

| Ah, you fickle Mutt fans. A little tense are we? I spend most weekends trying to provide thought provoking, well written pieces, on a myriad of subjects, that go largely ignored; one or two responses about my topic and then a subject change to the Mutts. So today I cut through the BS and I get roasted for being brief. Ya can't win! |

Rex-Great stuff. They are a bit nervous here, aren't they? I have to call you on one: if Perez pulls a Glavine today and the Brewers lose also, there will be a tomorrow.
Corp Egg Head-Maybe you can join then for a foursome tomorrow morning.
Rumor has it that the Matts will be attending today with two replacement Matts. Stay tuned for Monday's video segment, "Four Matts and a Funeral"
Thanks New York, Thanks New York, Thanks New York, yeah.

A wise man once said this is a simple game, you throw the ball, you catch the ball you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains.
6 outs to go, it has already rained and all that remains is to see if we win or lose.
Ryan Braun has put the Brew Crew ahead in Milwaukee and now we wait.
Good post Rex and congrats to the Phily Phanatic and all the fans from the City of Brotherly Love.
Rootin for the Cubs to come back and if not for them to win it all this year and make my niece Jenny a happy young lady. |
