Well, with a few wins under his belt, a seemingly energized Mutts team-- and a welcome change of managerial demeanor, it's no surprise the fans will let this one slide. If the Mutts start a downward spiral again we'll see how much the fans like Jerry Manure's 'lovely bouquet.'
**Side note... I've been out of town and offline and loved Rex's post. I would have had a whole string of ADD things to contribute... alas... the time has past. |

If Sellers were any sort of student of the Oscars, he would know that merit often has nothing to do with it, and they almost always give it to the dead guy. He could've won a nice double going with a Peter Finch Melvyn Douglas exotic wager.

The media is still trying to capitalize off of Willie-gate. While I felt the Organization deserved a verbal beating for the way they handled Willie's firing, this is just the Post's way of throwing gasoline on the embers left over from last week.
Incidentally, the Daily News (my tabloid of choice, since Newsday is hard to come by in Manhattan) ran a nice back page about the Mets yesterday. |
